Description

Another from Westcott Bay Sculpture Park San Juan Island Wa. Broken Melody by Alexei Kazantsev made out of marble. Like I said these scupltures are just out in a big field. There is a pond in the middle and a little forest area too. There are over 100 sculptures. Some more interesting then others lol. Thanks for dropping in. Take care:0)bonita

So many years ago, between Sacramento and San Francisco there was a large swampy area along the ocean side of the freeway. In this big bog, creative people would go out, usually under cover of darkness (since it was illegal to be out there) and put together all sorts of fabulous sculptures made of odds bits of junk and old lumber. Progress and liability issues dictated several years ago that the sculptures be torn down and the land filled in for development.

This one is certainly interesting. It looks like it melted on a hot summer day. Great capture.

We have a similar area, called Scupture Park, that is filled with one artists work. It is his private property, which is open to the public. One of these days I need to get back up there with my camera! this is cool, different, and I think maybe I like it (-:
