Description

We climbed above the low fog to be greeted by dazzling sunshine, this shot taken with the sun behind. This Hamlet was a thriving place in the 1800's with a Manor House, Chapel and three farms with farmworkers houses. We had just passed some major restoration in progress, much of the Hamlet had been abandoned since the 1970's. I can so easily imagine some squire coming up the path, slapping his crop against his boot, whistling for his dogs . . . Or perhaps a farmer coming in for a tea break, boots covered in dust . . . Well. You've got my imagination going now, my friend! An excellent image.
