BIO
Started in 1981 with graphical simulation of industrial robots - part of my studies of math in Stuttgart (Germany). Then, by accident, 1984 Bavaria Film asked me to do computer animations for Enemy Mine (director Wolfgang Peterson, produced in Munich, Germany). That was my start into the more creative part of the business. From there on til 1991 i worked as an animation designer with several sorts of software (BTS FGS 4000, TDI, ...). We did commercial animations but tought students (from the Stuttgart Academy of Art) as well (half-half). After that i had the opportunity to make a move into event and "classical" design business. And there I still am - doing mostly print design in a little agency I am running with some friends. I kept always an eye on the 3D business, but only with the appearance of Vue d'Esprit on Mac i found a sort of way back into 3D graphics. This software for me is the ideal combination of easy-to-use and quality results so it was great fun to work with from the first moment on. Let's see where this all will drift to - who knows. Fire is a wonderful product to do next! We need more fiery options for Vue. I'm glad to see you developing this project!

Great idea for the next product challenge Walther. Fire is something that's always in need when it comes to do a NVITWAS image. ;) But seriously, I like the first fire test a lot.

Yeah! This fire looks already very cool (or should I rather say HOT?). After making us wet with some sea splashes, rain showers and falling snow you finally want to dry us again with some fire. How thoughtful of you! ;)

Looks Great Walther, it should be a big seller. Was that 19 minutes or 19 hours?
Irish
Absolutely terrific ~ good luck with your package!

Looks interesting. It will be interesting if you can really get a decent fire using plant parts. If you do, I imagine they would animate nicely. You do know Monsoon has bee working on some spectacular fire procedurals? Perhaps you should consult with him on your package as he's done a lot of work already on fire mats.

Simply SUPERB!!

WOW! but are those numbers 19 HOURS? Just curious.... fantastic scene!

That sky looks perfect. Hard to believe that those clouds took less 19' to render. That fire is a promising start. Good luck!
