I was born in Zimbabwe on 03/06/88. My family, consisting of parents, older brother and sister, migrated to South Africa when I was six months old. We moved back to Zimbabwe six years later, to help my grandparents on their farm - a career change for my father.
After a measly eighteen months we upped sticks and went farming on our own. This led us to Kwekwe, in the heart of Zimbabwe, to farm tobacco! Borrowdale farm which is part of the "Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy" is where we settled . This was the most incredible experience, living with such an abundance of wild life ........... of which we became a part of during the school holidays! Due to the "land redistribution policy" we had no option but to move on.
10th November, 2001 saw us arrive in New Zealand with our former lives packed into a suitcase each, ready to start our new lives. Our first three years were spent on the South Island and I nearly froze!!!!!!! A great employment opportunity for my father had us move up to the North Island. I now live on a farm just outside Matamata aka "Hobbiton" (defrosting).
Yep that should sum it up ha!

Nice goatie! ;P I'd actually go for either two UV filters maybe one huge one and one small one... or differenct colour filters a yellow and a green(?) would go nicely with the postwork and would also give some sort of weird factor with changing your eye colour... On a related note i dont think having dark would be good mainlybecause of the reflections you get out of it... either you can play with the reflections to your advantage (like put a shot of yourself behind the camera...to be reflected) or they will become a distracting element in the shot which is supposed to be a portrait of you. Nice shot anyway. Good luck with the assignment mate :)

Sure not every day we see (self)portrait like this capture. Like it a lot.

I agree that different colored filters would make the shot even better. Though I think you look perfectly fine unaltered.

A brilliant self portrait Kai. I love the lighting and I like the different size filters but perhaps two different colours would look even more cool (red, yellow or green perhaps??) Not that I'd have a clue whether they'd look better or not, but would add some "oomph" to the whole shot. Good luck with your assignment though. Hugs Chrissy xx
