Description

Over the past several months time, I have enjoyed viewing all of the wonderful and amazing photo captures of Australia from Aleks (ledwolorz). Recently, one of his bushwalking photos in the National Parks gave me some inspiration to try and re-create the scene here using Bryce. Not an easy task, but I am very pleased with the result. The rocky terrains were constructed using 9 lattices which were skewed, modified, rotated and layered, one upon another. The ATMOS is a bit 'heavy' to simulate the thick Summertime humid air with an approaching thunderstorm overhead. All of the plant/tree foliage is eucalyptus. Enjoy. And thanks for viewing and commenting... Bryce Resized, sharpened and sig. with Paint.Net

Great quasi-collaboration; this is a fantastic image in its own right, beautifully constructed. The sense of color and depth is amazingly crisp. Nice sense of realism as well. What strikes me the most about this is the actual mood of the place you have rendered. Excellent work!

I can feel the dry heat here- the enclosed valley with steep sides must capture the heat and that (to me) is what comes through the most. You've done a marvellous job, Keith and its a technical challenge well achieved!

It's always difficult recreating scenes in Bryce and after looking at the photo by ledwolorz you have done extremely well. Excellent terrain work and foliage. The atmosphere is wonderful. Tony :-)

OK. I’m finishing with photography. What’s the point, if someone like you can create such a realistic and beautiful landscape with absolutely great atmosphere and lighting in it. You are a true artist. When I started posting my photos some months back I never thought for a second that one day someone could like my photos to the point of inspiring his artwork. That is the biggest compliment anyone could say to me. Thank You very much. Aleks
