Description
As you know Thursdays guess was the milled edge of a coin, that was all I was looking for a COIN. The particular one was the edge of a £2.00(two pound) coin English currency. It was also a commemorative coin, commemorating the life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel(1806-1859) a great engineer of his time. For those interested a little bit about him can be found here.

Todays item again is in general use throughout the world in one form or another, this is synthetic but you can get natural as well.
I said yesterday that todays would be harder or softer as the case may be. There is a clue in that. Again I urge you to think in macro, as you know it can be deceiving. PJ pointed out that it is difficult to photograph holes and this is full of them. Good luck.

Yep, sponge would be my guess also! I hope your weekend is swell~ We've started ours with a bit of light snow/freezing rain. Luckily it started after I returned home last night from listening to some friends play at a local roadhouse.

I think it's that stuff you have in your polariser case to protect it, I suppose thats synthetic sponge too. nice work Jeff, great fun.

Hmmm… couldn’t tell ya….. But what I do know, is that it certainly is a fantastically textured macro! Now that can’t be a wrong answer! :) This is awesome… very unique and interesting, excellent colour and lighting!
