Description
Tall White Lady's head was pounding. She was happy that doctor's assistant gave her a scarf to wrap her head up with. The bandage on top of her skull was ugly, and her whole skull seemed to ache with throbbing pain.
She wove her way from the Beastmen's hospital to where Capitan Dokka called her from. It was a rehabilitation garden adjacent to the main hospital. She staggered over a step, she went up to Capitan Dokka Tkarro and Lieutenant Dakk.
Dokka looked over at her and asked, "Are you sure you want to see this? Are you alright?"
Tall White Lady said in a distant tone,"I have a slight concussion. Need to stay up for twelve hours. So what gruesome fate did the Measure end up ...with?" She had to fight from keeping her eyes from bugging out of her head as she saw the object of her questions.
The Measure's 'body' was stone. She seemed to be drowning, while standing naked.. The look of fear and agony was etched on her face. Tall White Lady exclaimed, "HOLY GOD! What? What in HELL?"
Dakk read off his scanner readings,"According to the witness, she saw the Measure writhing in pain and moaning something about,'You won't control me' and 'POOF' turning to stone. The stone is metamorphic sandstone, not radioactive, or contagious and weighs about five hundred twelve kilograms.
Tall White Lady heard Dokka say something about the impossibility of people turning to stone, and some things like that, but she heard something else. It seemed like a telepathic voice coming from the dead stone. Tall Whit Lady could never read the Measure's mind when she was alive. Or NOT stone, at least.
The Measure called herself a Neutralizer, capable of negating all telepathic contacts. She also claimed to be an alien species from millions of years of technological civilization.
Tall White Lady came up to the statue and put out a hand, and saw a reddish glow coming from where the part snake-girl's necklace had been. It throbbed in time with Tall White Lady's head.
A number of shouts erupted from behind her, "FREEZE! YOU ARE ALL UNDER ARREST FOR SEDITION! DROP YOUR WEAPONS! DON'T MOVE!"
Time seemed to stand still for the Telepath as a voice in her mind said most clearly,"I am Neesae, also known as the Measure. Listen quickly! I am alive somewhere. You must take my necklace and become the Sister of Earth! Do NOT let those other forces take the last artifact of the Four Sisters! Otherwise, all on this planet will end up like your dead son. Please help me! I'm all alone in the dark. Help...."
The Measure was younger than the child that died just two days before. Tall White Lady's son was afraid of the dark, and it was as if he was calling for help.
It was force, a power of the heart from deep inside of her that surged like a blinding light into her mind. She said, "No more children will die on my watch, if I have the power to prevent it."
The Measure's necklace settled itself on her neck, under her body armor. Tall White Lady turned toward the troop of armored police surrounding her, the forensic team, Dakk and her beloved Dokka.
She nodded toward him, and reached out with her mind. She pushed out, *If you hear MY thoughts, adopted little son-like fuzzy-face--tell the officers arresting, I'm just a telepath without an antenna, coming here at your behest. I'll take care of the rest.*
Dokka looked shocked, to say the least! Dokka said as much to the surprised looks of Dakk and the others.
The lead arresting officer said that the Tall White Lady wasn't wanted and she could go. She nodded and she left. QUICKLY.
She didn't really understand HOW she did what she did, but she had MORE to do.

What first strike me here was the POV. Not usual in your work. I really like it. Instead of being a passive element, the camera here plays an active role. Very well done. The lighting is also much more realistic than is usual in your images. There's more ambient light. The DOF (very slight, just in the right proportion) adds that extra touch of realism and focus the viewer on what's important, but still allowing us to wonder at the remaining elements (which are, as usual, wonderfully posed, textured and positioned). The texture of "Measure" is just perfect, and so is her expression. All in all, my opinion is that this image shows an impressive evolution, a quantum leap in your work. Very good!
