Description

As seen from my last post "Fish and Swim" , I'm standing next to the red volcanic cone wall. At the time this picture was taken, the waters were pretty calm. I'm sure when the surfs are high, you don't want to get caught sleeping here. Aloha and thank you for viewing

I love the vacant steps in the sand, and the seemingly endless, yet dangerous landscape! [=

Interesting comment on the high surf... Looks like a place you really want to be weather-aware. Nice view~

This looks very much like a spot at the beach near my home, high bluffs, with high surf, scary place sometimes, but beautiful as well!!

Great shot Errol. The Green Sand Beach area is awesome. I don't think anyone else has one quite like this. Aloha

Not a good idea to fall asleep on this beach...the high water mark is pretty high here. But for now it makes for a striking shot of this beach. Aloha~

From this shot can be seen, a water coming up pretty high to the shore, nearly touching a wall. Love those red coloration of the volcanic stone.

I love the detail and textured mood of this vista, Shark! Believe it or not, this looks a scene out of the original scifi movie, PLANET OF THE APES.

Oh this is an amazing view!! I agree with you about being aware when the surf is up ... I knew a lady that was walking along the beach in California, and got swooped out to sea. She almost drowned, except someone spotted her red hair floating out a ways... a little girl with sharp eyes, and they went out and rescued her. What a scary thing that could be!! Anyway, your image is excellent!!

I thought maybe this was going to be about tides, which could also be a problem in a place like this. Then again, I don't remember much of a tide when I was there... Great shot, Errol. I love the footprints and the way the land curves away right out of the picture.
