Greetings and salad dressing! Thanks for stopping by.
I guess I'm supposed to put some great words of wisdom here, where I get my inspiration from, or something like that. I don't really consider myself an artist. I'd say that I'm more of a hobbyist with something in mind. There's more to it than that, but I won't get into all that here.
Actually, the only reason I even considered dabbling in computer graphics and 3D stuff in the first place was to possibly illustrate some of the stuff I've written. However, that hasn't exactly happened. Yet. Too many distractions, surprises and setbacks.
Some day, you will find my stuff in your local bookstore. Some day. Until then...

Suggestion.. um.. Poser 7.. maybe.. and some grunt behind it in hardware to drive... but I'm curious about your workflow... it sounds quite interesting... you did well with this image... wish I could do that in P7.
Revelation-23
Well, I'll be adding Poser 7 eventually. My next purchases are going to have to be hardware, starting off with another hard drive (internal, external, doesn't matter) and a DVD burner. Plus I need to get better power supply, one with more connections. And maybe switching to a different processor somewhere in there. Depending on the cash flow, next month I'll be able to get at least one of these things. While I have no problems using a Celeron, I do know that as time goes by, more and more stuff is going to come out that's designed with dual core processors in mind. The only things I was able to keep around from before were the hard drives and the optical drives, of which I can only have one connected at a time. Going with the Celeron isntead of even a Pentium D was a choice I made to save a little bit, as I wanted to keep the cost of the new computer as reasonable as possible when I ordered the parts.

Like the white shaddow, I wondered what process you went through to do it. If I was to do this, I'd use an overlay and a reverse... sorry, no advice here... I can't even get v4.2 to load... file problems... got way too much stuff on my computer.
Revelation-23
The shadow was done the perspective shadow filter in Eye Candy SE, after loading the alpha channel (I saved as PSD from Poser). Wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but it's something different, so I'm sticking with it. I've tried to get the same result in Poser before, but it hasn't worked out as well as I'd like.

Just as long as she isn't running after me with that pig stick its OK. I know nothing about renders and poser but I know when I see an image if I like it or not, and this I like. It seems that you have had a few problems with it, but I for one think it was worth it. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Congrats on the upgrade, and yes V4 can be a heavy gal in some respects. Here's a tip, if you don't load up clothing it all might be easier to render :D
Revelation-23
I hadn't even gotten to clothing yet...

Good lighting & textures..

Nice image, I have Poser 7 and am still too afraid to install Vicky4.2 or Aiko4 after all I've read from people.
Revelation-23
It wasn't all that painful and they work as they're supposed to. They're now like a mix of what DAZ did with the 3rd Generation figures, combined with how V4 worked when she was first released. Just let the installers run normally and you should be fine. Just make sure you uninstall stuff if needed - Creator Creator and the Muscle Morphs, I think.

Beautiful artwork ! Love her pose and outfit ! Great style ! You must install V4.2 in the main runtime of Poser, otherwise she will not load properly in your scene. Personnaly, I've made external runtimes for each figure with Props, Hair, Character Sets, Clothes and so on and installed the main figures in Poser Runtime. This works pretty well as long as you don't upload all the runtimes together inside of Poser, only the ones you need to do your render. :)
