hey hey friends,
welcome back :) thanks as always for the comments and faves.as you can see i'm hard at work. i've got a little less than a week left of my vacation so i'm making the best of it.
some of you i imagine are looking at this going who is ray park ?this is that dude from star wars darth maul isn't it? de de deeeh! yup it is the actors name is ray park.my opinion one of the wickedest bad guys ever. i saw him in a movie called ballistic fighting lucy liu the dude is awesome. but the thing that caught my attention about him was he was coordinating stunts for phantom menace and got picked up for a role as darth maul because they couldn't find anybody bad enough to play the part.ray's done stunt coordinating for mortal kombat,was toad in xmen and get this played the headless horseman in sleepy hollow. he was supposed to be in an iron fist movie but i'm not sure if that even got off the ground.
anyhoo dude rocks !
i gotta give ladyscythe credit and special thanks for doing the texture for this. it's something i've wanted to do since i saw the movie. i'd even contemplated making a texture myself but gotta admit i was feeling like ray was over my shoulder sabers lit. man was i happy when i found she'd done one. to her credit there was a problem with the original dl. she fixed it and let everyone know it was reposted. that's dedication !much props for that ls.
i'm probably going to do another maul image soon. i'm 99% happy with the facial features i morphed for him in daz. what can i say he's a definite fav.
before i go if anyone is interested there's a guy at deviantart making anime/manga outfits and hair props(he made the hair i used for beacon) who goes by the name lokai2000 (lokai2000.deviantart.com) the stuff he's working on has got to be seen to be believed.
oh yeah the horns i used are from rdna freestuff. they've got just the right number of spikes. i did have to size them down a little and do some rotating.just a little info for anybody wanting to do something with LS's texture.

It's too bad Darth Maul wasn't used more, and like General Grievous in ROTS, he went out far too easily. Maul was supposed to be quite the badass and deserved to go out in far better way. Although it did take the combined efforts of two Jedi to take him out - one of them considered among the best ever - so his death wasn't all cheese.

Yeah...it wasn't fun working on the tatts! But it was worth it!! Maul is my favorite SW character :D Great work Lee on the render and use of the texture... I've got a wittle surprise though... Check my Free stuff in about 3 days or so...and you'll find a complete Maul character with horns :) Myself and two other artists have come together and created a whole package... Glad you like the textures! And great work :)
