Description
This Star Ferry is crossing Victoria Harbor on its way to Wanchai with morning mist shrouding the Hong Kong highrises. Star Ferries operate between Kowloon and Wanchai, Hong Kong Island. It was on one of these ferries that in Richard Mason's book 'The World of Suzie Wong' his character Robert Lomax met Suzie Wong, real name Mee Ling, who pretended to be the daughter of a rich Chinese business man. In the 1960 movie of the same title William Holden and Nancy Kwan play the title roles.
This picture was taken in January 1996 and was later scanned.
