I was going to take some pictures of the sunset colors on the mountains a couple of days ago, but when I pulled into a parking lot, I saw this wonderful bird on the other side (away from the mountains) and decided that he would probably be a better subject for taking pictures of. :o) It's not everyday that I get to see an Eagle this close (not every day I get to see one at all, but even more rare that I get a good vantage for pictures). I parked almost under the tree, and used the zoom on the camera to get even closer. (which is why it's not crystal clear, but slightly pixelated.) I also was taking pictures with a film camera and got a lot more shots on film than on digital (I'm taking a beginning photography course at the local college.... it's a film class.), but still, I got a few on digital. He was watching the sunset from his perch on this tree. He glanced at me every once in a while, but really didn't pay me much attention. He sat there for a good half an hour, and I switched back and forth from digital to film and back again.
