Description

Do you remember sugar easter eggs? They were like some bizarre Faberge' thing with a hole in them so you could see inside. There were scenes in there, usually chickies or bunnies or something. Oh my - I looked them up, and have pictures you can look at if you don't know what I'm talking about! See photos here Every time I look at this photograph I think of those darned eggs. It's like if you could just look a little closer, you would see that the stamens in this flower are really little people or something, done in royal icing. Or maybe I just need more sleep!

Very beautiful capture! I agree with you, they look so sweet, just like sugar eggs. And I don't think you need more sleep, you have a creative soul! Have a nice day!

I can see it, Tara; it's a great analogy, and who knows what they're doing in there, especially on the right side, where they've closed the curtain LOL. Oh, yeah, excellent job on the photo, too. :-)

I remember them quite well, I could just go one right now but I can't have sugar. When my daughter Emma did domestic science at school, she made a swiss roll with jam, I didn't know at the time but she got her teacher to find a recipe that used a sugar substitute cause her daddy was diabetic and couldn't have sugar she was eleven and loved her daddy, she still does or so she tells me and now she's 21. I don't know why that popped into my head, but I had to share it. Wonderful capture and imagination Tara, if you hadn't pointed it out I would have missed it. A top notch macro, great focus front to back. #;0) @ cosine's comment. Bravo!!!!!

When I was a kid I always wanted one of those sugar Easter eggs and finally, one year, I got one. I thought I was the luckiest kid on the planet. At age 63 I still enjoy looking at them. Thanks for the memory, and thanks for such a beautiful picture. P.S. Dennis (Cosine) sure made me laugh with his comment.
