Oh good Lord, I thought that was a toy dinosaur when I saw the thumb before I saw your title! Can't picture myself getting close enough to one of these to get a shot like this, and what a shot!! The dark light makes him look very menacing!

just to let you know, because i'm betting you're working on a PC, not all of the background is black. there are large pixelated chunks of grey that i can see on my Mac (high gamma), but not on my PC monitor. cool subject, regardless.
