Description
Captured 2/26/08, around 7 AM, about .6 of a mile/.966 kilometers from my humble abode.
Since my previous Volkswagen bug photos brought such fond memories to many of the viewers, I figured you might enjoy this one. Quite a contrast to the stretch limo I posted yesterday. Can you imagine it peeling rubber in a hot rod race?
Better viewed full size.
Have a happy whatever remains of hump day!

My first car was a VW, didn't even have a gas gauge, had a little lever I had to push when it started to run out of gas, then I had about a gallon left. Mine wasn't nearly as cool as this one, though!!

Punch buggie! Cool painting gives a great character to this car. You so lucky to find all the interesting cars in your part of the world.

Lol, I saw your title and expected a bug as in insect. When I was a kid, I had friends who liked to play "slug bug"... I didn't like that game... I do like your photo!

Nice shot I can see it going around a race track. We had a volkswagon when we were little an my dad would take all 6 of us and joy ride LOL. That was way before seat belts.
Liam.
Excellent shot

A great old classic, and that fire design is still popular today with the kids!

Wonderful car! I remember as i were a child: 7 of 10 cars in our streets here were made like this - but not so colorful: grey, green, blue, wine red.... Great shot. Thanks for sharing. I often drove these cars and I loved it.
