Birth of the united Earth Alliance the story so far In 2267 the first of earths deep space expiration vessels set out on a mission to the edges of our galaxy, for the last 200 years it had been well established that there could be new life beyond the stars but so far away it would be almost impossible to reach using normal sub light drives, after decades of research the newly formed world space agency , was about to install earths first jump gate the idea was to have two gates, one anchored in earth�s orbit the other at the edge of the galaxy which would they hoped provide almost instant travel between the two ,what they couldn't have known was the door that was about to be opened was about to let something else in. The Birth of the united Earth Alliance part 2 After a long ten months the deep exploration ship Mayflower arrived at its destination the plan was to assemble 3 jump gates the first a very small one made of just two jump gate arrays, which the mayflower had been carrying big enough to allow parts through to construct the next size up which would allow full size transports to enter. the final and biggest gate quoted by its chief engineer as big enough to let just about anything through, unfornately that comment was just about spot on After 3 months, and the 3rd and largest of the wsa jump gates had been completed one anchored in earth�s orbit the another at the very edge of the galaxy, which is where the mayflower waited one of earths first deep space vessels, the Endeavour its sister ship had just returned home, the mayflower stood waiting for its return with much needed supplies and a new crew, just before midnight earth time the mayflower detected an energy spike coming from the gate thinking it was the Endeavour the crew started getting ready to leave, all of sudden all of the ships power went out the crew thinking it was something to do with a gate malfunction rushed to one of the small windows in the side of the ship, the gate had not malfunctioned and what was coming out of it was not the endeavour but a huge alien ship, It passed by silently seemingly ignoring the small craft then slowly it seemed to turn, the crew could only look on in total shock, it was then it fired..... The alien ship cut into the small earth vessel like it was match wood, barely giving it enough time to launch distress beacon, the beacon blasted its self away from the dying ship recording on its small camera the the events as they unfolded then heading back to earth via the jump gate, the alien ship ignored it and stood silently for a while in the sea of stars, like a large cat observing its kill and wondering what to do next it then moved off and returned from where it came, mean while the mayflowers beacon had started transmitting its recording to a shocked earth Back on earth the the united world government held an emergency meeting to decide what to do about the alien attack and even the safety of the planet ,After much arguing the uwg decided that if they were going to continue using the jump gates some sort of defence was needed a new space navy would have to be built, and new weapons designed to combat the possible threat of alien invasion, so was formed the united earth defence alliance later shortened to the united earth alliance or UEA made in bryce 6 also some free buildings downloaded from the net all ships and designs by me many thanks for looking
