Ha! I've been forcing myself through William Leavitt's "Berklee - A Modern Method For Guitar" for two months now... Dammit this is a great way to avoid the problem of having to turn pages when trying to f**kin sight-read... You're on to something! That run on the third set of lines down on the sixth page (all the way to the right) looks like fun... but pain! OUCH!
