Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Hey are you sure thats your sons pic? It looks like my sand disk a little. lol. Wonderful prose again Marilyn, very profound and oh so true, I have felt that way lots of times but never really thought about it like this. When you see the writen word, quite often it applies to yourself and only when you read it does it bring it to the fore. Excellent poem and the picture is perfect for it. Bravo!!!!!

Nicely written: every word counts to convey the overall mood of misty contemplation and boundless possibilities. Mike

You've captured that feeling perfectly. I love those "twilight moments" when your mind simply wanders where it will and you do actually dream, though you're also partially awake...at least it feels like dreaming. There is always such potential in those moments; you can imagine and plan, or simply relive pleasant moments. It's a great thing, a wonderful thing, and in some ways I wish that all of life could be like that...relaxing...restful...and yet exciting. You've captured that beautifully, and as alway, presented it with pronounced, straightforward grace...and I LOVE the image that goes with it. Fantastic stuff, Marilyn...really top notch!

When you're worried, and you can't sleep, just listen to some talk radio. Actually, whenever I get in that dreamy-and-musing-in-bed mood, the only thing I can think of is getting up, picking up the phone, and making crank calls to people I don't like. Oh well, to each his own. A fine bit of prose writing there, and nice work on the moon image, Marilyn.
