Description

Here's another reproduction of a painting I saw in an Oslo museum recently. This one is called 'Rustning' and was painted by Norwegian artist Ragnhild Keyser (1889-1943) in 1926. You can view some of Keyser's other works at http://kunst.storebrand.no/artist.asp?kunstnerID=keys Thanks for looking!

It has a 3D feeling, with a sense of wood in there. Was this so with the original? You have superb control of UF.

Philuf: Nihon desu ka? is it Japan? I'm not sure; Keyser was Norwegian, but I don't have any info on whether he ever went to Japan or was influenced by Japanese art. clifftoppler: It has a 3D feeling, with a sense of wood in there. Was this so with the original? The original was more randomly textured, but still in the vertical direction. I used the wood-grainy look because it seemed to come reasonably close. Thanks for the comments, all!
