What's neater then a flamed street rod - this one is a 2000 Plymouth Prowler.... I was saddened the other day to find one of the true legends of hotrodding had passed away... I hardly ever watch TV but did read, today, of Boyd Coddington's passing. I understand that he produced some legendary customized cars. Nice shot of the flame job ... I'll bet that wasn't easy to do.

I went over to Boyds "boydcoddington.com" and looked at some of the gallery. I could see why the four letter F word was so angy at those who use their distinctive shapes for their own purposes making fistfulls of money at at but also I saw hand work by eye that exhibits American metal and machine work in it's most fetching form. ( I looked at a green Studebaker) This car I once saw as a takeoff from Dick Flint's Most Beautiful American Roadster with track nose and stalk headlights.
