Description

On my way home from work today, I decided to pick up some flowers from the store. I wanted to make them my subject this weekend -- they are so cooperative. :) Wish I knew what I was doing more than I do. It took a long time to get the settings on the camera so that they would at least appear in the frame. Jeez.. well, more tomorrow. I hope to learn more on this over the weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend!! Shari

I just love the mood, crop and BOTTLE! Where did you get hold of that? Who said a good picture needs color when this has all the color it needs. :)

It's a little bit dark for me, but I like the b/w and composition... Have fun this weekend. I have some tulips and new flowers I just planted and I must have taken about 500 pictures this week... now to sort... lol.

I think I mentioned this last week on one of PJ's shots, you don't need a big bunch of flowers to obtain a good photograph, PJ had three you have four. I really like how you have arranged these at various height, I can see this hanging in a gallery with a price tag on it. Maybe a tad dark on the bottle but I also think that adds to the shot. I think you have done fantastic with this minimalistic(is that a word?) arrangement. Excellent capture and presentation. Bravo!!!!!

You have done a really wonderful job here, the flowers are arranged in a really beautiful balanced way, I really like the way the light reflects on the bottle and the flowers closest to it, I think maybe it's a tad dark on the top though. It's a realy nice B&W :)

came out great! I know what you mean, it happens to me all the time, fumbling with my camera buttons and getting ... surprised! Occasionally like this one something good happens! I wonder if you have seen cbender's latest posts of flowers with a 1 candle power light? Not so different from yours - keep fiddling and posting as much as you like, and I will too!

Gorgeous work! I bought flowers this week, too. My camera is full of them, and I'm sure there's pollen on the lens! :) I love what you've done with this. Absolutely stunning!
