I'd never noticed before I looked at this photo exactly how the flower stalk comes out of the stem, it's astonishing how much we'd miss if we weren't sharing each others work! I've just read your sensible words, Mick, on the 'comments' thread, you are quite a philosopher!!!

Great macro Mick, having read Andrea's comment I paid a little more attention to the image(thanks Andrea). I had not noticed before either how the stalk comes out of the stem. Mind you I have never taken a macro of a snow drop, we have a few crocus's but no snowdrops out the front. I read your comment on the forum about rendo`s bad habits, very sound reasoning and true I believe. Like I said it's just fun at the end of the day. I like this shot Mick, and the next time I see a snowdrop I will pay more attention. It is also great that you have not searched for the perfect specimen, but captured one with a bit of damage and splashed with dirt. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent macro, and we have some of these in our garden. We call them Lily of the Valley. I've heard them called Snowdrops, too. Our Koi pond is planted and looks wonderful. Next, we get some fish!! :o) I will go check out that discussion, too.
