This was a pet project of mine over the last 6 months and with the introduction of your two products I was able to finally bring forth this image. Thank you Both!!
Kali: The Dark Mother
Kali is the fearful and ferocious form of the mother goddess Durga said to be born from the brow of Goddess Durga during one of her battles with the evil forces. As the legend goes, in the battle, Kali was so much involved in the killing spree that she got carried away and began destroying everything in sight. To stop her, Lord Shiva threw himself under her feet. Shocked at this sight, Kali stuck out her tongue in astonishment, and put an end to her homicidal rampage. Hence the common image of Kali shows her in her mêlée mood, standing with one foot on Shiva's chest, with her enormous tongue stuck out.

OMG!!! It must be the new Kali-9500-beta3 that slices, dices, mashes potatoes, wash dishes and can even... uhhh... O.O... looks at sword pointed to own potatoes... erm... as i was saying... can even relax while i make the houseworks for her... ^^; ... scrub scrub grumble grumble... blast them modern applicances... i'm asking for a refund... brows or ribs, nothing good can come from something made out of human/godlike scraps... >.<... grumble grumble scrub scrub Just asking.... but how did you know that i like multiarmed girls? ;P The abundance of weapons and the fierce stance surely make her fighter nature obvious, and the gruesome trophy is a good sign of the aforementioned combat rage in a well composed portrait - i would try to tweak a bit her expression (look a bit more on the pouty side than enraged... not that a goddess can't get pouty whenever she wants that is... :D )and the lighting: deeper and darker shadows would enhance the feeling of peril and danger she already bring along - very fitting choice for the sky instead, as it looks menacing enough to match the dark goddess mood, and excellent work on compositing and posing things in such a way to hide the shoulder creases (that to my experience unavoidably spawn from stitching multiple arms) in a natural and nice looking way... overall a very beautiful work for a very interesting myth... well done mate! ;) (oh, and i hope everything above is understandable - my english has probably got a little rusty... :P )
