I took this photo a lot to get the shadows to lighten up so things will show in the shadows. I took the camera and rise it up fast and lower it fast too for I know shooting into the sun is not too good for camera. I had on a polerize filter on too with a sun blocker shade on my lens.[guess that what you call it. I know I wrong on it and have to look it up; goes on the end of the lens to block the sun] just got a little sunflar which is not bad

You did great with this Jocko, an excellent capture and like Richard says, the little bit of sun flare looks like a flower in the swamp. You are quite right in calling it a sun shade for that is what it is for, they don't always work, though they are a big help. Great shot. Bravo!!!!!

This is great! The sun flare is fine - it adds to the feeling of brightness, of looking into the sun. Nicely done!

Ok this is just my opinon, but I would do a letterbox crop and crop the bottom half off with the sunglare. The trees with the sun behind them is magical and make for a stunning photo. But that's just my thought.

If you're going to shoot straight into the sun, this lake makes a great place to do it. There's so much in the picture, it enhances the mood and doesn't really obscure anything important.

It may not be a popular comment these days, but I got to say I like it. The glare is real and it feels like I'm there seeing it for real. Excellent shot. As for bass...perhaps that is a draw but my money is on the mud catfish. I love the thick meat of a good fat cat!
