Description

AloooooooooooooHa! My early morning run to the sea was washed out due to rainy and cloudy conditions. On the way back I saw this church in my little town that I've always wanted to shoot, but never really put much effort into trying to get a shot of it before daylight. While passing it I made a U-turn and got this shot just at daybreak. People were showing up and graciously stopped while I was shooting. I know, I should have been going in to pay my respects....believe me, I wasn't dressed for it~ I think this must be a first for me posting in architecture, but Sharky assured me it would be ok...what do ya think? Much Mahalo's for you kind comments on my previous posts, and have a great week everyone~ Aloha~

Really interesting shot with the lighting inside and a POV showing the ribs of the structure. Love the airy-ness of the building!

I like the pov... you cropped it with enough of the blue in the corners and in the middle you see the blue, so very good pov. Other pictures in your gallery show variety - that is the spice to life... so, how can it be wrong, spice is a good thing... I hope you like the spicegirls - lol, I do... I like all kinds of music, so what this comment is getting at is "spice is nice"

Very nice, Dave. I like being able to see the construction details, and the deep blue of the sky is wonderful. Great job getting the lighting right.

What a wonderful "House of God"!!! Puts some of those Roman cathedrals to shame! Trust me when I say.... God doesn't care what you show up in.... just that you show up!!!! Aloha!

Very nice shot. Great bright lighting. Yes, God doesn't care how you are dressed. He welcomes everyone into His house of worship.

Sharky was right, this is a great foto!! It reminds me very much of a church in Mexico I went to, seems to bring the world inside.

Wonderfully impressive shot! The lighting and color, contrast with that deep blue sky is superb! Most different shot from you, but this shows the talent behind the camera, no matter the subject! Glad Sharky talked you into it!

Listen to Errol, he is wise. :o) This is really something. I would have guessed you used HDR techniques to get such a full tonal range, did you? At least worked from a RAW file? Splendid stuff!
