Description
Welcome to a new series of images, I call *Northern Light* as they will touch the mythology and the stories that have been told under the majestic and magic northern polar light, my friends.
* The Valkyries,
Riders on the Storm, Female Deities, Choosers of the Slain, Odin`s and Freya`s Battle Maidens, Priestesses often associated in the form of Swans or Ravens. They were believed to choose the warriors who would die in battle and lead them as "Einherjar" to the Halls of Odin. Endless feasts were awaiting the brave warriors in Valhalla until the final battle of Ragnarök.
When the Vikings saw Northern Lights in the sky, they knew the Valkyries are on the ride and somewhere would be a battle fought.
