Description

I crocheted this baby blanket for a friend, and thought you might like to see it! I just finished on Friday night, and the baby was born shortly thereafter. (Two weeks early - Good thing I wasn't pushing the deadline!) Thanks to Jill and Marilyn for long conversations on the hands-free headset! I used that time to work on the blanket. :) And ... Welcome to the world, Elliott!

Well he should be 'snug as a bug in a rug' with that wrapped around him Tara. A beautiful bit of crochete, this and tatting I never got to grips with, although my mother was a dab hand at both. Welcome to the world from me Elliott, I hope you will be very happy here. A beautiful bit of kit Tara and with those colours it didn't matter whether it was a boy or a girl. Pretty evenly matched with pink and blues I think. It is also an excellent capture. Excellent work all round. Bravo!!!!!

How delicate and special this gift is... for each of my 3 children, 2 of my neices, and 4 of my grand children, I did a blanket, a sweater, hat and booties. With the last grand child I guess I got a wild hair going on because I made a quilt instead. Very lovely blanket and a wonderful shot of it.

How lovely to welcome the little guy this way! Beautiful work, and I am so envious, as I knit, sew, embroider, do petit point, crewel work and tatting, but I CAN'T crochet! lol. Just a blind spot I guess!

Tara, you are so talented! And here I thought all your efforts were distributed among your job, driving to Ann's nursery, photography and the computer! Amazing, a renaissance lady of the first water! Superb capture of your superb handiwork, young lady!
