Description
These were in the same forest where I found the "hair frost" I posted earlier. I've seen fungi and some ferns, if I remember, that incorporate a cup-shape that overflows with rainfall to spread spore. Spore is very small and floats like dust on the surface of raindrops. This is like a pot of campbell's chunky sirloin soup, less the carrots. This is near the end of winter and the big rains, and these things are not going to wash out of the pots to seed the forest floor...anybody tell me what these little burgers are?

So exciting to see these! They are either Cyathus, I'm not sure which variety, or Crucibulum laeve, the Common Bird's Nest. I need to see a close up! If this is a winter pic, the latter is most likely.
