Is she leaving home or has she died? It makes me wonder if the spokes behind her head are the wheel of life and she is passing from them... Beautiful image, I always love your thoughtful works best :)

My first impression was that she's rooted in place, and only dreams of leaving home. Or that her strong traditions hold her back. I love your work. Every one is stunning in its own way. Love the way you did her body--half woman, half plant.

Leaving but taking who she is with her. We are all the sum of our experiences and couldn't leave them behind if we wanted to. Wonerful thought provoking image. Thanks for sharing it :)

I perceive it as an image of hope in the future. At first at seemed that her wish to leave is hampered by her roots, but its even harder - they are not root, they are upside down trees - she must leave because what she is entagled in is an upside down world, wrong place for her to be. Her facial expression is great, full of hope and anticipacion. She can do it - she hold the future of her growth in her hands, and its the only colorful thing in the scene. I wish her well... Good job!

What a lovely expression she has. She would like to go, she thinks with joy about the places where she could be but her roots will prevent her from going. Interesting that the bars that could be her prison are only floating, so her prison is only internal, not really external. The set looks great. Great image.
