Description

"Oyster "seed" is an oyster that is transplanted to another location for the purposes of commercial grow-out or restoration." These pvc pipes are used to string the oysters on to grow out in the bay. These Judd Cove oysters are the best lol. I like mine with garlic butter and cilantro, broiled just until they curl up at the edge.Yum Thanks for taking time to view..Take care:0)bonita

I don't remember seeing oyster beds like this back home. My father-in-law oystered at the right time of year but they were not farmed, they were wild. Very interesting and the photo is wonderfully abstract.

They say you learn something new everyday and you have taught me a lesson on oysters. I had no idea how they transplanted them. The image is wonderful and tysvm for the lesson. Karen :)

I'll put garlic butter and cilantro on mine, and then put 'em on YOUR plate! :) I'll just have the salmon. The composition in this is great - I really like the angles and the way my eye follows those pipes around the picture. Nicely done!

At first glance I thought I was seeing wind chimes hanging from a tree branch. Maybe I need glasses? Way cool shot, and I didn't know you could plant em. : )
