The sun burning through the misty skies the other morning while driving to work. It was hard to time this while at the wheel, this was the best of the bunch, with the water vapor in the air acting as a natural ND filter. Tinted red in Photoshop. Nice postwork~ I'm thinking the old saying was referring to hurricanes... (On Pern, it was all about the red star...) In Oklahoma we looked for orangey skies low on the horizon (any time of daylight) that gradually rose higher and higher. Signified a dust storm approaching and a need to get indoors!

Oh yes, a scene right out of a bloody werewolf, vampire, monster, et al, movie! I can hear the howling now. Really love the spooky effect in this capture, taken under difficult conditions.
