Description

This photograph was taken last fall, and the buck is the leader of a group of deer at Shiloh National Military Park, where back in April 1862 one of the bloodiest battles of the American Civil War took place. When this was taken, he was keeping a close watch on a couple of hot looking young does grazing just a short distance away. To view the young ladies he was admiring, just click here. And just for the record, how anybody can shoot these magnificent creatures with anything but a camera is totally beyond me. I appreciate you stopping by. marshall

Stately and majestic. The reasons for hunting are many - some are more valid than others. My question is, how can we keep pushing them out off of their lands and building our homes and stores where they once grazed and raised their families for so many generations...until we put up highways that threaten them when they tried to move from place to place looking for food and peaceful contentment? This is a beautiful shot.

This is very lovely. They shoot the wild animals[big cats; bear] that keep the deer heards down and now they too many deer and they do not have food to eat so many will stavre to death. At lest that is how it is here on some of the years that come and go. A big deer here is 100 pounds; where you at they around 175 pounds or more. I like to shoot them with a camera too but I know also why they shoot them with a gun. Some people get carry away about hunting which do not make cent to me too.[like shoot them out of season]
