Description
There is a beautiful, tragic old irish song called "The wind that shakes the barley". I have first heard it sung by Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance and never got it out of my head. I did this painting and when it was done I realized that everytime I looked at it I had that song in my head and everytime I heard that song I had that picture in my mind...
I really like this one a lot.

Her hands are actually mine..in the photograph I was using she was wearing a black velvet dress and had a bunch of flowers in her arm, so I coudlnt see the hands right. Tahts why I took pictures of my hands and painted them in:-) Tahnk you all so very much for your comments!
