Description

Thanks to all for comments on my last posting. Today another shot from Northern Ireland's beaches. This caught my eye with it's variety or rock types, so many textures and colours ( I am no geologist ).

I saw the thumbnail, my friend, and thought, that's Northern Ireland. I must admit that I cannot quite place this area, but then I have only really visited one smallish area of the province, in depth. I just feel so at home where the hills and mountains come down to the shore. Similar landscapes can be found in the northern ( Scottish ) half, of what used to be called Dalriada ( the Long Isles ). I used to holiday in the Glens of Antrim, for many years, when I was an awful lot younger. According to my uncle, an expert in Geology, his professor, could tell which bays, or headlands, he had brought rocks back from, because they were just about unique, geologically speaking, at least in the British Isles.. It looks too cold for gig racing, though. Regards, John.

This is completely amazing. I love the rocks, and water with all their brilliant textures, and then you eye moves to that beach in the distance. This is a great shot!!
