Description
They might've split up or they might've capsized
They may have broke deep, and took water
But all that remains are the faces and the names
Of the wives, and the sons, and the daughters
- Gordon Lightfoot, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"
Saw the fantastic freebie Clipper Ship by jedswindells and I had to create something with it. Rendered it once in Bryce, which took an hour; rendered it again using IBL lighting and it took almost three days. This image is actually a hybrid of the two, using the original render as an overlay to give it more of the sepia tone of an old photograph.

Great use of JedSwindells Clipper, excellent rocky seas. I posted a similar one yesterday, we must be on the same wavelength. Tony :-)

Great POV, wild, water frozen in time, and lighting, my friend. The water is almost like glass, as it sometimes looks under a dull, leaden sky. Congratulations on a great image. Regards, John.

That's one heck of a fresh water gale. Been longing to do a pic of Big Fitz myself.
