Description

wip Untitled for now bryce virsion well im a littel lost with this image at this time so im going to another comparing image (see if that can take me some were with it ) but this time with poser, daz studio, and Bryce adding nothing to the images ie posed in poser the the pz3 file straight into daz studio adding nothing to it not changing a thing * and Rendering it in daz studio and than puting it in to Bryce for Rendering (* but there is one thing i had to do in Bryce that is move the camra so it is apox to the same view for some reason it dose not keep the the camra setting from daz studio)no other setting were changed in this one its quite surprising how diffrent they are considering that that are for the same sort of thing espeacialy that bryce and daz studio are now from the same company I set every thing up in poser saved it as a pz3 file And Render the image in poser Opened up Bryce 6.0.1 from Bryce you can open daz Studio Imported the pz3 file into daz Studio and shut down daz Studio That makes it open Bryce again And it converts it into a Bryce file (that some thing that daz should think of doing so you can open a pz3 in Bryce and so you can export out of it) (it's all ways set to open in the default settings in my pc so I added nothing it's just the default light from the sun) So the camera pov was set wrong So I had to move the camera So it is apox to the same view as the poser image For some reason it dose not keep the camera angle from daz studio And hit Render the image After that shut down Bryce Reopened daz Studio imported the pz3 file into daz Studio again and hit Render I changed nothing I just render as is just to see what the defences were in the Programs no post work no other setting were changed in apart from the camera angle (in Bryce) I just did this to see what happens in each of the Programs I know if I move a pz3 file from poser into daz Studio I have to do some small adjustments to lighting Like turn on the lights and shadows (but i did none of thie to the file) and some times changed the figures like a foot or some thing that's been twisted And I must say the most disappointing Render is the one from daz Studio daz Studio :- http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1632247 poser :- http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1631230 Comments & Suggestions always welcome Thank you for viewing

I prefer the Poser picture, as it is brighter (easier to the eye, that is) than this Bryce one.

I do like the gel-like appearance you have given to the two figures. Very creative.

Wow there is a big difference in the pics. The effects are good though if you could work the lighting up a bit it could be very interesting.

I think you are asking oo much of any program to just pick up the scene at import, hit render and expect similar or better results. If you imported a Poser scene into Cinema 4D (a far superior program and renderer) and just hit the render button without changing any settings or altering the file in any way, you would be forgiven in thinking that Poser is a better renderer. When you build a scene in a program, it sets it up in such a way that works best within that program. This obviously means that other programs will suffer with the same settings. In this Bryce render, for example, several of the materials have changed noticeably, such as the pvc/leather skirts of the two characters either side of the main figure. The lighting is also competely different, as I can see no evidence of light coming from above on these characters, and instead all of the lighting is from the sunlight coming through the window. This really isn't a good image to work on as a comparison between the three programs. Something simpler (a box with a texture map applied, in a neutral setting, with a simple lighting setup), which can be translated much easier between programs, would give you a better idea of which you prefer.
