Description
I don't know what type of goanna this guy is, unfortunately. He turned up in the yard of a seaside resort I was staying at during the week and was obliging enough to let me take lots of photos. I've seen goannas before but never one with these markings-- he was quite spectacular.

I think it was lovely of him to be still so long so you could get this shot. The side view gives a lot of detail and this is quite fascinating.

Oh he is a beautiful goanna! just laying there soaking up the sun!!! and being a great model to boot! hehe beautiful shot hun He looks like a type of monotor lizard... ...not to sure- my friend has one like that but of course I cannot remember what it was..lol hugz anne
