Description

"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing." ~ from Endymion, Book 1 by John Keats [1795-1821]

Have I gone too far with the colors this time? Perhaps, but I had fun fiddling with things in Photoshop. :o) Keeping with tradition, here is a Friday Candyland excursion for you. I had posted the unedited original in a thread in the Photography Forum a while back, and let everyone play around with it and there were some excellent renditions that you came up with. But I went back to the drawing board with the postwork here -- I was in a purple and gold mood today. Barely visible is the stone bridge from where I took the original "Exploring Candyland" photograph. I kept it large so feel free to view it full size for the best detail. -----

Thanks for your fantastical comments on my previous upload, thumb_1631712.jpg Gary Gygax ----- Sony DSC-P200 (IR Converted w/B+W 092 Filter) & PhotoshopCS. (1099) Morikami Japanese Gardens, Boca Raton, FL, USA 2008 Sponsored by: ott_bot1.gifKramer Kreations ohm.gif

There is something about this that makes it look like a table-top model. I think it's the clarity and sharpness. Well done!

No, no, no! Not too far with the colors. This is one truly amazing effect and I think it helps keep the focus true. The richness of the colors in combination with the fantastic lighting makes this a stellar shot!
