Description

Travelogue; The desert planet of Emer, crystal formed trees and rocks. A planet with no surface life or standing water. So how can these trees survive or for that matter how can the spread across the planet? The trees are sparsely scattered around the planet and differ in distance from each other, the longest distance is about 20 miles apart to as close as 5 miles. One theory is that the trees obtain moisture at night with the cooling of the desert causing condensation. One unique feature is that the trees are cool to the touch and found in the forks of the tree, small pools of liquid, which many say is water. It is known that the water or liquid can slake a thirst in a second and the person would not be thirsty for the rest of the day. But only on the planet for some reason this magical property does not move with the liquid. There is no known danger on the planet except the sun and heat and maybe the cold at night. Temperatures range from 120 to 160 degrees during the day and 30 to 40 degrees at night. There is one note of caution on the planet. You should not try to remove the trees. According to reports a rich and powerful lord tried to have one of the trees moved resulting in the death of most of the work crew and some sightseers and media crews who were within a two mile radius of the tree. It appears that the tree just exploded. Why, no one is for sure, many think it was harmonics caused by the equipment in synchronization with the tree. No one has ever tried to move another one since then. Riechart Flange, Imperial Historian attached to the staff of the Overlord. Done in Bryce and tweaked in Photoshop. Stock trees and textures and some textures of my own. Render for true ambience. I want to thank everyone one for stopping by and taking their time to view my work, a thank you to those who leave a comment, love reading them, and thank you to those who add my work to their favorites. Thank you to all. Hope all of you are doing fine. Be safe and have fun.
