Description


This image is based on a color plate from the book "The Beauty of Fractals." I had previously created a 2D plot where I attempted to duplicate the look of the original image. This is my 3D interpretation of the plot. I had to lighten the colors somewhat so you can see detail in the "nooks and crannies" of the fractal. This image was rendered in 3D using FractalWorks, a high performance fractal renderer for Macintoshes that I have developed.
