Description

Looking through some photographs I found inside a drawer I was taken by a photograph of you There were one or two I know that you would have liked a little more But they didnt show your spirit quite as true. And at the moment that my camera happened to find you There was just a trace of sorrow in your eyes. Now the things that I remember seem so distant and so small Though it hasnt really been that long a time. What I was seeing wasnt what was happening at all Although for a while, our path did seem to climb. But when you see through loves illusions, there lies the danger, And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool. So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger While the loneliness seems to spring from your life Like a fountain from a pool. Jackson Browne A bit of Jackson Browne for you this evening and a return to faces which I haven't done in quite sometime... I would like to thank all of you for your comments, and especially your sharing regarding your beloved animals. Your thoughtfulness and sharing was a healing place to be. I am woefully ;0 behind on comments and will be catching up in the next couple of days. Thanks everybody! You are appreciated by this elf! A Great Weekend and new week to all :) Hugs, Jilly

I always loved these so special faces you create, Jilly. This one has a bit of sadness in her expresion, but is so moving. And the touch of light is wonderful. Nice to see you around my friend ;O)

"You've had to struggle, you've had to fight To keep understanding and compassion in sight" This is a very powerful piece! That look reminds me of a very specific person, who doesn't hide how she feels. And thank you for the Jackson Browne, too!

...sad and knowing expression -- face like a mime caught in an unguarded moment.

A world of emotion captured in this expressive portrait. Love how everything has a downward motion and the play of light, like a small ray of hope, is wonderful. Jackson Browne words are perfect with it, too. CC

Greetings Jillian, When I looked at your beautiful creation and then read the text, my memory returned to a moment not to long ago when i was unpacking and discovered a frame with a photograph of someone I loved and was very close to. I decided to open the frame to evaluate the condition of the print when I discovered a note she had left for me. A note that lay hidden for seventeen years pierced like an arrow through my heart . . . I cannot change things or turn back time, she and I had our moment in our lives and for this I shall always be thankful. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week. egmont
