Happy birthday to Jodie. May you be blessed with a good year ahead. A rural scene from the center of maize (corn) country in South Africa, with a bit of tone mapping. Hope you are all keeping well. amour056.gif

Nice to see an upload from you Piet, it's been a while. I take it these silo's are for storing the corn in, I guess at 26 all together, that sure is an abundance if they all get filled. I like the sky very much. Superb capture and postwork. Bravo!!!!!

What a wonderful feeling to have all the goods stockpiled in one place. I can see the early morning light just waiting to burst open as it hovers above! Glorious warmth and expectations for a great future!!

OH, Piet! I can't tell you how anxiously I wait for your occassional post these days. You always do something that not only entertains me but shows me something new and interesting. I know so little about where you are and never did I suspect (and I don't know why) that the area produced so much corn. It must be so fertile there and sunny. The sky has a dramatic break to it and lightens so perfectly around the silos! I guess I can only join the others here, since its been said so much already, in saying I'm so glad to see you post again and I will be waiting anxiously as always for the next one.
