Description

They say that I am cursed; that I am a vile creation, incapable of pity or fear or love. They can judge only from what I allow them to see. When the dust settles, and their corpses hang as testament to their folly, I tend to the fallen, favouring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice with the ultimate gift. Let it never be said that I am without compassion. Those who serve loyally are rewarded. Woe to those who earn my enmity. ~Khaled, Lord of Aruvia. ******************** Inspiration: I was watching Perfect Creature the other night, and had some inspiration. This is absolutely nothing to do with the film, which was a very stylish steampunk vampire story, highly recommended, but I got the idea after watching it. *shrugs* Technical Stuff: This took 14 hours to render. FOURTEEN HOURS!!! I left it on last night and went to bed with the computer still rendering away. Must be all the dust and smoke... Oh, and I started off dumping the Pillars of Nosgoth in the back of the scene while I was deciding what I wanted in the background, and forgot to take them out! This isn't supposed to be LoK related at all. I tried re-rendering the relevant area without them, but after another 2 hours of waiting I abandoned it cos I wanted to get on with the pic! Ignore them.

Very compelling storyline to go with this incredible and well detailed image. It's only my opinion, but the "pillars" add to the atmosphere of the piece. Exceptionally well done!
