Description
I spent a delightful 1/2 hour after work today, right here.........watching the 'gambling den'!
I learnt that it probably isn't possible to watch new lambs, running and apparently hopping on their wobbly little legs without smiling broadly! Some of these little ones are about a week old, but several were much smaller and wetter.........and most still have their umbilical cords attached, even though dried up! This was probably the nicest 1/2 hour of my day...as I must now get busy with packing etc...
See you all soon,
Chris

This is a great image! It evokes heart-warming sentiment and also a routine to life...it's good to spend a half hour seeing stuff like this and capturing it for eternity. Wonderful, heart-warming work!

I know lambs gambol. Does anything else engage in that activity? An interesting question. I'm glad you got to go back and take pictures. This is a wonderful scene!

I love these shots, so cute. Not sure if the lambing season has started over in our region. I'm hoping to get some cutie pictures while out on a walk very soon.

One of the best times of the year, spring brings smiles and babies to greener pastures like this. Lambing season was always great fun when I was young and we would drive through the countryside. I like that little black eyed gauwky thing to the rear left.

I'm a poor little lamb, who has lost its way, baaa, baaa, baaaa... Excellent arrangement and variety of poses in this wonderful composition, Chris! I was wondering if you could have gone out there with some pruning shears and cut the umbilical cords.....oh well, it was just a thought.

Spring is Here! What most people don't know is that lambs make great pets. I had one. He'd follow me around, lay on my bed, share my apples - and peanut butter sandwiches. :) He'd walk on a leash and people would stop in the middle of the road to look. (smile) He never 'messed' on the floor and kept the grass trimmed.
