Description
Quietly they stood on the balcony of the house. Looking out over the coven, Sirk slipped off the nightsister arm band that belonged to Azra’s grandmother. “A mark for a mark, I’ll make you a trade.” Puzzled, Azra looked at her wife’s back, laying a gentle hand on her, “What do you mean?”
“I can not take this with me. If something were to happen..” she paused as she ran her fingers over her own symbol carved onto the metal band next to Azra’s, “if something happened, this would be lost forever. You need it to pass down to our daughter some day”. Sirk looked back at her and gave her a soft smile, the glisten in her eyes just as much from tears as a tease.
