Description

Minnesota got a few inches of new snow over the weekend; I decided to go for a walk in it. In some places, snow was up to my knees. When I got back in the house and saw my jeans were like frozen bells from the knee down -- it brought back old memories, from when bell bottoms were 'in' back in the 70's. :) Anyway, you may find this a bit boring, but it caught my eye .. a fav pine tree out in front of our house, casting a shadow and creating some beautiful contrasts. Have a wonderful Monday! Shari

High contrasts and a lot of white which spells out the cold and silent mood prevailing. Very well presented. I love the font Shari.

Lovely composition, I could never get tired of looking at beautiful snow scenes. The UK west coast has been battered with stormy winds during the night, hope we get some gorgeous weather as soon as...

A very "familiar" type of shot with nice contrasts in the snow.

I would never get bored of scenes like this, I want to be there frolicing in the virgin snow, it's like being an adventurer, or the first man on the moon. It's been snowing, you are the first person out in the morning, going out into the whiteness, no footprints to be seen, you are the first, the number one. the first person to step out and leave a trail for others not as brave to follow in your footsteps. Ain't childhood great? I used to be that brave explorer.lol. Fantastic scene of unexplored terrain, I like the shadow of the tree and how the ground below is almost devoid of snow due to the lower branches acting like an umbrella. On top of that ain't you the brave one(or is that mad, lol.), going out into the snowy wilderness for the sake of photography. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!
