Description

I took a terrain, 'Laid to waste' by =newyorkino89, & tweaked it for this one. Just had to add my spires. Lol. I could have got a better view of the terrain, but I'd lose the bliss, so I left it. Anyway... thanks for looking!

This is one of your more evocative and dramatic images...which is saying something since so many of your images are evocative and dramatic! I love the sense of color, especially with the sky. That color alone implies combat, death, bravery and sacrifice, and the rectilinear spires are fantastic...they resemble towers, they also resemble monuments to some lost/vanished culture. I love that element of this, as well as a note of ambiguity that I see here: it's simply an image with a title, but it "feels" as if you've left it to tell its own story or stories. Great work and most definitely a favorite!
