Description
Captured 3/8/08, around 7 AM, about .75 miles/1.207 kilometers from my domicile.
The phallic pistils are coated with either fungus or little pieces of coconut.
I have several pics of this species to display in the coming days, so hang on to your keyboard!
Many thanks for coming by, and have a terrific transcendental Tuesday.

Stunning! I usually associate these blooms with funerals, but they are too beautiful to waste on the dead in my opinion.

Coconut. Betcha. Or maybe pollen, I'm not sure. In any event, this is a beautiful photograph. The two blooms together makes for a stunning composition, my dear! Gorgeous work.

Lovely duet here and I like the fuzz on the stamens. "Why, you lily livered...."
