Once a junkie, always a junkie. I have made my effort to get someone off heroin. It takes private intervention to change the course. I used to read all those cold turkey stories in the LA Times in the 60's. Then I met the sex counselor in the 80's. Last Renaisance, Second Genesis, Betty Ford, Lake Hospital superceded Synanon in Santa Monica. Where was Sybil Brand?
