Description

One of my favorite animals, the horse, but free! I used the DAZ MilHorsebundle, Dreamlights Lightdome Pro, Moodmaster and MaskCreator, pwSufaces and pwCatch. The horses were posed, I added a plane and scaled it up to cover a large surface and moved it up to reach the ankles of the horses and apllied pwCatch with shadows and reflections enabled. I applied pwSurfaces to the horses and enabled AO, added the SunsetDraft preset from LDP, which I rotated around the scene to find a nice lightningangle. Hit the render button and saved the image 1 hour 35 later as .png with the alpha information. I rendered as well a MoodMaster pass with the Sunflare and another with the Sunglow, created a mask of the horses with MaskCreator and combined all the layers in Photoshop. The background is done in Terragen, trying to keep the same lightning angle as in D|S, added in PS with a couple of splash layers. Final layer count: 27! I hope you like it! ^_^

well composed & great postwork. I think the mats on the horseflesh could use a little more attention. Great lighting.

Good idea, but why does the horse in the foreground seem to fly ? I think I heard once that horses always have a foot on the ground unless they have to jump an obstacle.
